Since this wonderful organisation was founded in 1988 our programmes and resources have reached many families in Manukau East. The Sowers Trust is an incorporated charitable trust registered with the New Zealand Charities Commission (cc37351) We are a community service organisation, catering to the needs of communities within Manukau East. Some of the Trust programmes have operated for over 35 years, having started before 1988 when The Sowers Trust was incorporated. The Sowers Trust is a significant service supplier to our community, providing personnel, programmes and facilities which support the whole family - a wrap-around approach. All our programmes build long-term quality relationships that aim to build up and empower individuals so that they may play a full and positive role in society. The Relationship: The trust is described as: The Community Services Arm of Howick Community Church. As such, Howick Community Church (HCC) regards the work of the Trust as an integral part of the work of HCC in the community. The establishment of the Trust enabled our programmes and services to be separated from the religious programmes of the church. |
